Psychedelic-Assisted Therapy

Psychedelic-Assisted Therapy is gaining a lot of attention in the recent years.

MAPS is located in Santa Cruz which is pioneering the movement to bring psychedelics into the mental health field.

There is an overwhelming amount of data showing the impacts psychedelics have on depression, substance use, anxiety, spirituality, trauma, PTSD, relationships, and overall well-being in the world.

Many people began seeking out Ayahuasca and psilocybin (mushrooms) retreats to experience relief from numerous obstacles.

Microdosing psilocybin and LSD has been gaining in popularity throughout Silicon Valley. Experts are predicting psychedelics becoming legal within 2-3 years for the public to begin using.

Explore the mystery and propaganda – what is real and what isn’t…

As of now, there continues to be much mystery around psychedelic usage, as well as a decent amount of propaganda around the positive impacts it can have on an individual’s life.

It is currently illegal to purchase these drugs and have psychedelic-assisted therapy sessions within the United States. This being said, therapy is a confidential way for you to come to your own decisions and discoveries about your relationship with psychedelics and the impacts they may/have had on your life.

Utilizing therapy to assist with preparatory and integrative support/coaching can be a very strong ally when it comes to navigating plant medicine and psychedelics.

Sometimes the Internet can be a great tool for research and gaining introductory knowledge; however, it is far too often that I hear about individuals having “bad” trips or difficult integration periods because of the information they read on the Internet.

Experienced guides are the most reliable.

I have been studying psychedelics/plant medicines through numerous avenues. I believe in the power these substances have in changing an individual’s mind and relationship with themselves and their world for a lifetime.

I believe that psychedelic-assisted therapy provides us with tools that can offer a different approach to how we view and interact with our world.

I have obtained traditional training in the western approach to psychedelic-assisted therapy from California Institue of Integral Studies, as well as worked with shamans from lineages that have been practicing plant medicine usage for thousands of years.

There are rituals, outcomes, and processes surrounding the use of these substances and it is also necessary to recognize the importance of creating a safe setting for any experience.

Psychedelic-assisted therapy needs to be provided by someone who has been ‘in the fire’ rather than coming from a place of only having read about or talked to individuals about their experience.

What I offer…

My training allows me to help clients with preparatory and integrative services around plant medicine and psychedelics. There must be a very clear intent and understanding of what mindset to maintain before, during, and after. This is crucial to have a positive experience with the substances.

I also provide integrative services that help clients transition back into “normal life” without forgetting the valuable knowledge they obtained from their experiences.

The easy part is having the trip; the hardest part is learning how to integrate your findings into your everyday life that allows for lasting and extremely meaningful change to take place.
